People Matter
From earliest days, our congregation has been an integral part of the New Martinsville
community, and has discipled numerous people of faith who have taken leadership in our
homes and schools, government and civic organizations, business and industry. We have
celebrated God's work in our world by serving God's children in numerous ways.
With the recent purchase of the adjacent property, now known as The Disciple Center, we are
able to facilitate even greater care for our community, including providing space for
"Alzheimer's, Senililty and Chronic Illnesses of Aging" Care Givers Support Group
"Living with Mental Illness in the Family" Care Givers Support Group
"Bags of Bounty" Food for Children from "Martha's Pantry"

"Bags of Bounty" Food for Children from "Martha's Pantry"
- Youth Gatherings
- T.O.P.P.s, Zumba, and other health-building classes
- Professional and Community Organization gatherings, as well as
- Vacation Bible School
- Visiting Minister's Retreat Space, and
- Congregational meals and meetings

- Love Ladies, who sponsor several
vital events to support the church
and their ongoing meal outreach - Youth and Adults continue to
engage in mission trips to offer
practical love for those who need it
most, including recent hurricane
relief work in Gulf Port, MS - Relay for Life is a major event in
our town, and the church is
actively involved annually - A dynamic music program,
including traditional handbell and
vocal choirs, and contemporary
praise band always welcome new
participants - Transformational Bible Study: 6:30
Sunday Evening. Held in the
church fellowship hall and open to
all. This is a full
participation/mutual conversation
Bible Study that engages our lives
personally and communally in
relation to the holy texts of
scripture.
